About

Welcome to my site – it’s designed to share some of my articles and provide information about me too.

There are a few themes underlying these articles – they all deal with change, leadership and communications in some way, which I guess isn’t that surprising. My work involves all three themes – when I’m delivering programmes of change, leadership and communications are vital.  When I’m leading teams, change isn’t far away.

In the day job, I deliver programmes of cultural, business and digital change.  I’ve worked in the public, private and charity sectors – a career with technology as its foundation, evolving to include business improvement and cultural change to delivering lasting impact.  I’m told that I’m politically adept with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.  I know that I thrive on challenge and deliver with humour.  Skilled in workshop facilitation and mentoring, I also provide board level guidance and assurance.

I’m also a volunteer leader in Toastmasters International.  This which has involved leading and supporting 4,000 members in 150 speakers clubs in the UK and now being part of the International Leadership Committee evaluating prospective board members to serve our 350,000 members all over the world.  Everything I learn about leadership and communications in Toastmasters gets poured back into the change programmes I deliver.

I am also working on a part time Doctorate in Ashridge Business School, carrying out practitioner action research into how to make change happen more effectively.  I’m looking forward to learning from the change programmes I deliver, and to getting even better at making them work.   I’ve also moved to Cardiff and look forward to working with more clients there.

If you would like to discuss how I can make change happen in your organisation, or how we can use action research to make a difference in how we, and the organisations we work in, succeed, please get in touch.
